#ChangeTheWorldBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a talented
and motivated Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our Commercial
Modifications Engineering team in Long Beach, California. In this
role, you will play a crucial part in the development and
maintenance of electrical product details, assembly, and
installation designs for a diverse range of commercial aircraft,
from the McDonnell Douglas MD series to the state-of-the-art Boeing
777X.In this dynamic position, you will leverage your expertise to
design and implement electrical installation solutions that enhance
aircraft capabilities and operational efficiency. You will work on
projects that involve retrofitting existing aircraft with advanced
connectivity systems, optimizing electrical layouts, and ensuring
seamless integration of new technologies. Your contributions will
directly impact the performance and reliability of aircraft,
enabling our customers to maintain competitive advantages in the
aviation market.In addition to technical responsibilities, you will
have the opportunity to engage with customers, understanding their
unique operational challenges and providing tailored solutions that
enhance their fleet's capabilities. This customer-centric approach
is essential in fostering long-term relationships and ensuring
customer satisfaction.Occasional travel (10%) may be required in
support of the program and customer.Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems, including equipment
racks, power panels, cable routing, and antenna configurations
- Create and maintain detailed designs for cable and wire harness
assemblies
- Works with customers and suppliers to develop and document
complex electronic and electrical system requirements
- Document processes, specifications, and procedures that support
the design and manufacturing of electrical commodities
- Review supplier technical data to ensure system integration and
compliance with requirements
- Provide in-service technical support and troubleshooting to
airlines and modification sites
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in an
agile environment, utilizing the latest tools and methodologies to
deliver innovative solutions
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design
efficiency and effectivenessBasic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Ability to travel 10% of the timePreferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills/Experience):
- Analytical Skills (Technical): Skill and ability to collect,
organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop
conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
- Engineering Drawings and Specs: Ability to read, understand,
and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g.,
blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
- Computer Aided Design Tools: Knowledge of computer aided design
tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided
manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional
interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics)
- Engineering Judgment: Exercises engineering judgment in
developing appropriate decisions considering decision criteria,
implications, and possible consequences, to ensure product design
integrity
- Structural Design: Knowledge of structural design principles
and practices from requirements generation to production and
product support.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to understand the big picture and the
inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system,
including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
- Certification and Qualification: Knowledge of verification,
validation, certification and qualification processes and
procedures (e.g. DO-160 and D6 requirements), including knowledge
of governing regulations and compliance requirements.
- EMI/EMC: Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) considerations with respect to

$139,150Export Control Requirements: This position must meet export
