We are actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our Float Pool team-a group of versatile Medical Assistants who provide coverage across various specialties and locations as _*needed.*_*What is the Float Pool?*_The Float Pool is a unique team that offers you the chance to work in multiple departments, allowing for diverse experiences and the opportunity to adapt to different clinical environments._*Why Join Us:** Path to Permanence: Start with per diem assignments that pave the way for a potential permanent position.* Diverse Specialties: Gain exposure to a variety of medical fields, including Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Ob/Gyn, Pain Medicine, Pediatrics, Primary Care, and more.* Professional Development: Work in a fast-paced clinic environment alongside experienced healthcare professionals, enhancing your skills and knowledge.* Competitive Compensation: Earn between $21.00 - $22.00 per hour while enjoying the flexibility of float assignments._*!Join our Float Pool today and take the first step toward a rewarding career in healthcare!*_*Responsibilities:**Front Office:** Welcome patients warmly, manage intake forms, and efficiently schedule appointments.* Navigate full-cycle patient registration, including insurance verification, eligibility checks, fee communication, and payment collection.* Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating patient demographics and insurance information in the electronic health records system.*Back Office:** Measures and records vital signs, patient medical history and chief complaints.* Prepares patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.* Assists physician with exams and other procedures.* Prepares and administers medications and injections/blood draws with physician authorization as needed.* Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments.* Maintains clean facility, rooms and waiting area.*Qualifications:** Certified Medical Assistant (not required if you do front desk only).* BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.* Knowledge in Insurance Verification and Authorizations is preferred.* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!*Skills and Abilities:** Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.* Proficient in medical terminology, medications, and injection procedures.* Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, staff, and management.* Demonstrated empathy and a commitment to treating all patients with kindness and consideration.* Thorough understanding of HIPAA requirements for maintaining patient confidentiality.*Experience:** 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.*\*Hiring for multiple locations\*** Long Beach* Torrance* Newport Beach* Inland Empire* Orange County*ASK ABOUT OUR DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, REFERR A FRIEND!*Seize this opportunity to contribute to a compassionate and dynamic healthcare environment!
