Boos & Associates is growing, we were recently named one of the
Fastest Growing Accounting Firms and Businesses in the Fresno area
by the Fresno Business Journal. That growth has led us to expand to
different markets and we are in need of a highly skilled and
experienced Senior Assurance Associate to join our Assurance team.
This role is open to candidates located in Long Beach. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in coordinating the
day-to-day "in-charge" duties of planning, fieldwork and "wrap-up"
to include the preparing of financial statements with disclosures,
applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting,
validating, testing and assessing various control systems. You will
work closely with clients to obtain basic information and may be
involved in reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements.If you

Senior Assurance Associate is responsible for executing assurance
and audit engagements for a wide range of clients across various
industries. You will lead and mentor junior team members, manage
multiple client engagements, and ensure the delivery of
high-quality service, aligning with the firm's standards and client
expectations.Lead the execution of audit and assurance engagements
from planning to completion, including fieldwork and reporting
phases.Review working papers, financial statements, and audit
reports for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
(GAAP, GAAS, and firm policies).Coordinate with clients to obtain
necessary information and documentation for engagements.Identify
and communicate audit issues and areas for risk mitigation to
clients and management.Assist in the design and implementation of
audit strategies and procedures.Provide guidance and mentorship to
junior associates, promoting a culture of learning and
development.Develop and maintain strong client relationships,
ensuring timely communication and addressing concerns as
needed.Stay up to date with relevant industry developments and
regulatory changes, contributing to the firm's knowledge
pool.Assist with the preparation of proposals for new clients and
business development activities.What you bring to the role:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent requiredMasters degree
in Accountancy preferredTwo (2) or more years of prior experience
in public accounting or four (4) or more years of relevant
professional accounting experience working for companies in general
industry required.One (1) or more years of prior supervisory
experience preferredLicense/Certifications: CPA preferredActively
pursuing completion of CPA licensing requiredSoftware: Proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and
PowerPointPrior experience with various assurance applications and
research tools beneficialSolid understanding and experience
planning and coordinating the stages to perform an audit of a basic
public and/or private companyKnowledge of internal accounting
controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS,
Sarbanes-Oxley, etc).Strong verbal and written communication skills
with the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively
communicate with professionals at all levels both within the client
organization and the firmAbility to successfully multi-task while
working independently and within a group environmentSuperior
analytical and diagnostic skills and ability to break down complex
issues and implementing appropriate resolutionsCapable of working
in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on details
and accuracySolid project management skillsCompensation
